Abstract
When evaluating patients with a cardiac mass it is imperative to consider the context in which the mass is encountered as well as the symptoms, physical exam, and imaging findings that may be present in those with cardiac tumors that distinguish them from other less serious abnormalities. In this chapter we describe the initial symptoms and signs indicative of a cardiac tumor, their subsequent diagnosis by imaging studies or surgical biopsy, the delineation and potential management of these cardiac tumors, and the overall anticipated patient outcomes.
