Abstract

The synthesis of novel 4-substituted-6-(4-chlorophenyl)-7-(1H-1,2,4- triazol-1-yl)-s-triazolo[3,4-b]-1′,3′,4′-thiadiazines (4a-4m) by the condensation of 4-amino-5-mercapto-3-substituted-1,2,4-triazoles (3a-3m) with 2-bromo-2-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)-4′-chloroacetophenone (2) was described. The structures of compounds were confirmed by elemental analyses, IR, 1H NMR and mass spectral data. These compounds have also been screened for their antibacterial activities.
