Abstract
A patient with bullous congenital ichthyosiform erythroderma whose skin biopsy specimen showed epidermolytic hyperkeratosis was treated with oral high-dose, water-soluble vitamin A (retinol). After four days of treatment, a desquamative cutaneous change was noted. The treatment was well tolerated by the patient.
