Abstract

Patients with vascular dementia (VaD) are often excluded from the comprehensive interdisciplinary inpatient rehabilitation setting on the basis of their inability to learn new material or to retain what they are taught. Today, early diagnoses and more effective treatments can modify the usual progression of VaD. Through the presentation of case studies, we describe methods that allow us to address the rehabilitation potential of this population.
