Abstract
In this paper an approximate solution of a vortex motion representing the cut and connect process is developed, based on the vorticity equation with the viscous term retained. Since no established method of solution is available, the investigation proceeds in a heuristic way. The result is then applied to prediction of jet noise. (from paper)
