Abstract

In addition to the properties of stand-alone vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VCSEL), effort is given to understanding the response of VCSELs subject to optical feedback and optical injection. Specific interest arises in regard to the effects of optical injection on the polarization of VCSEL emission. This paper investigates the dynamical behavior of VCSEL with single transverse mode subject to optical injection from a master Laser.
