Perceptual mammogram solution using a class of smooth wavelets

Abstract

A combination of distributed approximating functional wavelets, visual group normalization, and nonlinear sharpening was used to generate perceptual signal processing for mammograms. This allowed the normalization of the coefficients, removal of the perceptual redundancy and the optimal visualization of important diagnostic features.
