Abstract
Neuro-ophthalmology includes a diverse group of conditions that share a common relationship to the nervous system of the eye. Abnormalities of the pupils, paresis of the oculomotor nerves, disorders of the optic disc, and visual field deficiencies are caused by a wide variety of conditions requiring diverse investigations and treatments. A good understanding of the pathophysiology of neuro-ophthalmic disease requires knowledge of the neural anatomical pathways of the eye.
