Abstract
Identification and management of gastrointestinal bleeding originating from the small intestine represents a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge to clinicians. During evaluation of the source of gastrointestinal blood loss, colonoscopy and esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) fail to identify the source of bleeding in approximately 5% of patients.
