Abstract

BSCCO (2223) phase superconductor, prepared by the traditional solid-state reaction route, was densified by hot pressing, yielding high-density and textured-bulk materials. A correlation between processing parameters and inter-, intra-granular properties of the sample was performed through the evaluation of microstructural features and the study of electrical resistivity and magnetization behaviour as a function of different temperature and magnetic field.
