Abstract

The goal of this chapter is to introduce modern technologies in molecular toxicology, which have the power to transform the design, execution, and interpretation of toxicology studies. Toxicologists have begun to integrate systems biology approaches into toxicology studies in efforts to elucidate the role of mRNA, protein, and metabolites in toxicity. As a result, the predictive value of data generated in the future has the potential to greatly amplify current practices.
