Intrinsic performance of InGaAs/GaAs quantum dot lasers

Abstract

An experimental study was carried out to determine the intrinsic radiative recombination current. The modal gain versus radiative current characteristic was also determined. As a result, it was possible to account for the best possible performance of dot lasers with a range of cavity loss.
