Abstract
Connexions (cnx.org) will be working with the IEEE-SPE (Signal Processing Society) to develop a mass of signal processing educational modules and courses that will be available for free access anytime, anywhere and by anyone. The feat will take advantage of the Internet and open source architecture like the ones found in the likes of GNU Linux and Firefox. The project is an open-source platform where anyone can share, learn and create sources of information and be available in different languages. Connexions will reduce the time difference between producing learning materials and making them available to learners. In order to make it easy for contributors to organize their module or course contributions to Connexions, a best practices document is being developed as well. Connexions will also support peer review and certification.
