Abstract
The Jahre Prize in medicine (or the 'Little Nobel', as it is also called) for 1992 has been awarded to Professor Jan-Ake Gustafsson, Stockholm, for his pioneering research on the regulation of genetic capacity by steroid hormones. His award lecture, The functional architecture of corticosteroid receptors, consisted in a survey of available knowledge of the structure of corticosteroid receptors and their mechanism of action.
