David T. Netscher, J. B. Stephenson

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

In this chapter, the authors first discuss the evidence for and against using traditional alternatives to local and regional flaps. Next, the indications for using flaps are proposed, as well as a classification system that favors flap type over defect type. Various techniques are described as well as the author’s preferences. Finally, complications of flaps are discussed.
