Abstract
The Editors-in-Chief have issued an editorial Expression of Concern for this article after the following concerns with images were raised: • In Fig. 3 panels CA3/HYPO+PHY and CA3/ HYPO+GAL appear to be identical • In Fig. 4 panels CA1/Normoxia and CA3/Normoxia appear to overlap The authors have not been able to provide the raw data and have stated that, as reported in the article, the electron microscopy work was not performed in their laboratory.Readers are therefore advised to interpret the results and conclusions with caution. Sangu Muthuraju, Panchanan Maiti and Shashi Bala Singh agree with this statement. Govindasamy Ilavazhagan has not stated whether they agree or disagree with this statement. Preeti Solanki, Alpesh Kumar Sharma and Dipti Prasad have not responded to correspondence from the Publisher about this statement.
