Abstract

As a qualitative and quantitative aid to the determination of individual PCB congeners in complex samples, a set of four standard solutions of PCB congeners in iso-octane has been prepared. Consideration of environmental ubiquity and potential toxicity led to selection of 51 congeners for inclusion in the set. The selected compounds were idividually synthesized then purified to greater than 95% purity.
