Abstract
Biomedical engineering is an interdisciplinary field of health-oriented biological studies and medicine with the aid of engineering. Biomedical engineering follows the principles and problem-solving techniques of engineering to the biological problems and medical implications. The scope and applications of biomedical engineering are evident throughout the health care system, starting from diagnosis and analysis to treatment and recovery. Stem cell engineering and 3-D printing of biological organs are the most relatable examples of the implication of computational biology and bioinformatics to the advancement of biomedical engineering. Biomedical engineering is an unavoidable hope for efficient futuristic therapeutics with the aid of lab-grown human organs, computer-assisted surgeries, biomedical robotics, telemedicine, bio-nanotechnology, and synthetic biology. In this chapter, we have summarized the major advancements in the field of biomedical engineering and their advancement and applications in human health care.
