A method for preparing leucocyte depleted erythrocytes from rat blood

Abstract

By centrifuging heparinised rat blood 2 or 3 times through double discontinuous Ficoll-Hypaque density gradients it is possible to achieve over 99.8% depletion of leucocytes and to retrieve nearly all the erythrocytes and leucocytes in the original specimen.
