Dr. Ge received his MD degree from the Xuzhou Medical College in Xuzhou, China, in 1982. He later completed a research fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and the Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts, and remained there as an instructor until 2000 when he moved to Galveston to pursue residency training at The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB). After finishing his residency, Dr. Ge completed a surgical pathology fellowship at UTMB, and then a cytopathology fellowship at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, before joining Houston Methodist in 2006.
Research interests
Dr. Ge is a surgical pathologist and cytopathologist with subspecialty interest in pulmonary pathology and gynecologic cytopathology. His research focuses on liquid biopsy for lung cancer diagnoses and the genotype-specific effects of human papillomavirus in cervical cancer.
