Dr. Motazedi received her Bachelors degree in Chemistry & Mathematics from Williams College with Honors. After graduation she joined the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute for Technology Assessment to conduct cancer health outcomes research with a focus on improving quality and cost-effectiveness of medical care. She went on to receive her Medical Degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She then completed her Internal Medicine Residency Training at Baylor College of Medicine. As a resident she received the Goodfriend Ambulatory Care Award for excellent performance in patient care, as well as the award for Outstanding Resident Teacher. She completed her Allergy & Immunology Fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School where she trained under experts and pioneers in the field.
Research interests
During her training, Dr. Motazedi was involved in research and joined the Anthony laboratory at the Center for Immunology and Inflammatory Diseases. There she studied the pattern and role of antibody glycosylation as biomarkers of allergic diseases. She also studied the antibody characteristics of patients with COVID-19 vaccine allergic reactions. She is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Allergy & Immunology.
