Personal profile
Dr. Anton received her MD degree in 1994 from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. She then completed a pathology residency and fellowships in surgical pathology and cytopathology at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Dr. Anton joined the faculty at Baylor in 2000 as an assistant professor in the Department of Pathology, and joined the Houston Methodist Department of Pathology and Genomic Medicine in 2005.
Research interests
Dr. Anton is a general surgical pathologist with subspecialty certification in cytopathology. She also has interests in breast, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and gynecologic pathology and has published numerous articles in these areas. She is currently the Associate Director of the Houston Methodist Cytology Laboratory. She is involved in the daily teaching of residents and fellows and is on numerous departmental and hospital committees.
