Dr. Richards received his undergraduate degree in Microbiology and Cell Sciences from the University of Florida in 2006 and received a Master of Arts degree in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine in 2008 from Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts. He went on to earn his MD degree at St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies, in 2013. After completing his internship and residency in internal medicine at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence, Rhode Island, in 2016, Dr. Richards completed his fellowship in infectious diseases at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, New York, in 2018.
He then joined the faculty at New York Medical College/Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York, in 2018, serving as an infectious disease attending physician and Assistant Professor of Medicine. He precepted medical students, internal medicine residents and infectious diseases fellows during his time there. During the 2019 COVID pandemic, he joined the faculty, remotely, at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 2021, serving as a virtual infectious diseases consultant with Infectious Disease Connect, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s infectious disease telemedicine division.
Dr. Richards currently is an HIV/STI specialist at Legacy Community Health in Houston, Texas where he additional precepts infectious disease fellows from Houston Methodist. He is board certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases.
