Dr. Pandit received his undergraduate degree from Yale University. After completing medical school at Rush University in his home town of Chicago, Dr. Pandit attended the University of Iowa Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. In 2002, he pursued a fellowship in Cornea, External Diseases, and Refractive Surgery. He has been practicing in Houston since 2003, and was a partner at Medical Center Ophthalmology prior to joining the Methodist Hospital.
He has acted as principal investigator for clinical research trials as well as retrospective studies evaluating ophthalmology surgery outcomes and diagnostic equipment. He has regularly presented his research at the annual meetings of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
Dr. Pandit was named one the 250 top innovators in premium IOL implant surgery in 2010 by Premier Surgeon Magazine.
Research interests
Dr. Pandit's research interests include dry eye and other ocular surface diseases, corneal diseases and cataract surgical outcomes.
