Dr. Syed completed medical school at Texas A&M College of Medicine. He then did his internal medicine residency at Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas at Austin. Following this, Dr. Syed went on to pursue fellowship training in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Houston Methodist Hospital, where he was selected as chief fellow. During fellowship, Dr. Syed contributed to several academic activities focused on environmental lung diseases, interstitial lung disease, barotrauma, ARDS, and sepsis. He is now an attending physician at Houston Methodist, allowing him to continue serving the Houston community where he was trained and grew up. Dr. Syed is a pulmonologist and intensivist dedicated to the compassionate care of critically ill patients with respiratory conditions. His training and distinguished fellowship have prepared him to provide excellent care while advancing research in his field.
