Dr. Patidar earned his medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by residency training in Internal Medicine and fellowships in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology at Virginia Commonwealth University. He is triple board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Transplant Hepatology. With a strong commitment to both patient care and clinical research, Dr. Patidar specializes in the management of complex liver diseases. His primary areas of interest include acute kidney injury and hepatorenal syndrome in cirrhosis, complications of portal hypertension, alcohol-associated hepatitis, and the intensive care of patients with acute-on-chronic liver failure. He is passionate about improving outcomes for individuals living with advanced liver disease through innovative therapies, evidence-based care, and compassionate support.
