Dr. Katherine Perez received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2010 from the University of Texas College of Pharmacy, Austin, TX. She completed a postdoctoral pharmacy practice residency in a combined program at University Health System Hospital and Pharmacotherapy Education and Research Center at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, TX. She also completed a specialty residency in infectious diseases pharmacotherapy at Houston Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX. Dr. Perez is board certified in pharmacotherapy by the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties.
Research interests
Dr. Perez is studying the impact of rapid molecular diagnostics and antimicrobial stewardship on clinical outcomes for bacterial bloodstream infections.
