Dr. Joshua Septimus is a primary care internist with clinical faculty positions at both the Weill Medical College of Cornell University and Texas A&M. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and holds memberships in several committees at Houston Methodist Hospital, including the Medical Staff Quality Management (peer review) committee. He is also on the governing board of the Houston Methodist Primary Care Group and the Houston Methodist Shared Savings Program. He trained and completed his residency at Baylor College of Medicine, where he received the Award of Excellence in Ambulatory Care, awarded to the graduating resident with the most outstanding performance in ambulatory care at the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center. Dr. Septimus is a member of the National Lipid Association, and is a Fellow in the American College of Physicians.
Research interests
Dr. Septimus’ research interests include lipidology, and investigations of novel prevention strategies for atherosclerosis.
