Dr. Shah began his academic career in 2002 as an Associate in Medicine at the Duke Cardiovascular MRI Center in Durham, North Carolina. He joined the St. Thomas Heart Institute in Nashville a year later where he was the Director of the Lipid and Vascular Medicine Clinic. While at the heart institute, he developed and directed a program for cardiovascular MRI imaging. Dr. Shah joined Methodist in 2008.
Research interests
Dr. Shah has been active in clinical research with a particular interest in the evaluation of ischemic heart disease and peripheral arterial disease using MRI.
