Corbin Hedt, PT, DPT, SCS, CSCS is a Senior Physical Therapist and Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Houston Methodist Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, where he has practiced since 2014. He serves as Physical Therapy Clinical Research Director, Sports Residency Faculty, and Program Director of the Upper Extremity Athlete Fellowship — the first such program in Texas and sixth in the nation. His clinical and research focus centers on the athletic population, with particular expertise in blood flow restriction therapy, shoulder and elbow rehabilitation in the throwing athlete, and return-to-sport programming.
Hedt has authored and co-authored over 20 peer-reviewed publications and has presented educational sessions at a multitude of national and international-level meetings. He has been recognized with the TPTA Outstanding Physical Therapist Researcher Award, an MLB Research Award Grant, and an AJSM Podcast Award, among others. He is an active member and elected officer in several national organizations, including ASSET, where he serves as Secretary/Treasurer. His work spans clinical care, research, continuing education, and mentorship of the next generation of sports physical therapists.
