Dr. Zainab is an anesthesiologist at Houston Methodist where she is also an intensivist in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. Prior to joining Methodist in 2006, she was an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.
Research interests
Dr. Zainab´s research is focused on investigations of the underlying pathological processes in critical care medicine, specifically with regard to acute lung injury, ventilator-induced lung injury, and ARDS. She is currently working on the development of computational lung model for ARDS as well as biomarkers in acute lung injury She is also working in collaboration with the Department of Radiology on creating AI model for predicting ARDS outcomes.
