Dr. Ziemys earned his Ph.D. in Molecular Biophysics from the Vytautas Magnus University and the Institute of Biochemistry (Lithuania) in 2002. Dr. Ziemys earned awards from the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences. He has published > 50 peer-reviewed publications in the areas of cancer, drug delivery, physics, mass truansport, enzymatic catalysis, pharmacology. His basic and translational research integrates in silico, in vitro, in vivo, and clincal studies. His current main main focus is on drug delivery, digital pathology, transport-based therpautic resistance, and novel diagnostic methods in clinics.

Research interests

Dr. Ziemys's research program focuses on the problems in drug delivery, nanomedicine, and bioengineering. He is an expert in mass transport, drug diffusion, tissue microenvironement, transport-based therpautic resistance, biomolecule structure and function, computational modeling and analysis, process analysis and kinetics, image analysis.
